Registered Nurse PACU

PACU Nurse Opportunity

Provide specialized post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgery, ensuring optimal stabilization and assessment during the immediate post-operative period. Deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care to facilitate safe recovery and transition to next stages of treatment.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status continuously during recovery in the PACU.
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed, including pain management and sedation.
• Assess patient responses to anesthesia and surgical procedures, escalating concerns to the healthcare team when necessary.
• Document patient progress and care activities accurately in the electronic health record system.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to coordinate patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a sterile, organized environment.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid South Carolina or multi-state/compact RN license.
• Possess at least 4 years of recent PACU or critical care nursing experience.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS is required.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Epic electronic health record systems.
• Willingness to float within scope to meet facility staffing needs.
• Capable of working 4x10 hour shifts from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
