We are seeking an experienced Expert Business Analyst to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in complex enterprise environments, possesses exceptional analytical and communication skills, and enjoys collaborating with stakeholders to transform business needs into effective technology solutions.

Position Overview

As an Expert Business Analyst , you will provide strategic leadership throughout the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), partnering with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, project managers, developers, and testers to deliver enterprise solutions that meet organizational objectives.

You will lead requirements gathering efforts, facilitate workshops, document business processes, manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle, and ensure successful implementation of business solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance throughout all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Analyze business challenges and recommend strategic technology solutions.
• Partner with business stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather, analyze, validate, and document business and system requirements.
• Serve as the liaison between business users and technical development teams.
• Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical requirements.
• Develop current-state ("As-Is") and future-state ("To-Be") business process models.
• Facilitate requirements workshops, Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions, interviews, and structured walkthroughs.
• Produce high-quality project documentation including:
  • Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
  • Functional Requirements
  • Context Diagrams
  • Workflow Diagrams
  • Use Cases
  • Business Process Flows
  • Screen Mockups
  • Prototypes
  • Swim Lane Diagrams
• Ensure compliance with project governance standards and Secure Systems Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) documentation requirements.
• Develop and maintain Requirements Management Plans.
• Manage requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Establish requirements baselines and oversee change management processes.
• Coordinate defect tracking, testing activities, issue resolution, and remediation efforts with technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning, execution, and validation.
• Mentor junior Business Analysts and provide leadership on enterprise initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years (84+ months) of professional Business Analysis experience.
• Demonstrated expertise leading complex enterprise technology initiatives.
• Extensive experience working with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
• Strong experience eliciting, documenting, validating, and managing business and functional requirements.
• Experience facilitating stakeholder interviews, workshops, and Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions.
• Excellent communication, presentation, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to bridge communication between business and technical teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
• Experience creating detailed business analysis artifacts and project documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with one or more of the following are highly preferred:

• 7+ years of experience with:
  • Microsoft Access
  • Microsoft SharePoint
  • Mainframe terminal emulator or console-based applications
  • Low-code platforms such as:
    • Microsoft Dynamics 365
    • Salesforce
    • OutSystems
• Extensive experience facilitating:
  • Requirements workshops
  • JAD sessions
  • Structured walkthroughs
  • Impact analysis
  • Risk assessments
• Experience developing:
  • Test Plans
  • Test Cases
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT) documentation
• Experience managing the complete Requirements Management Lifecycle, including:
  • Requirements traceability
  • Requirements baselines
  • Change control
  • Requirements Management Plans
• Experience documenting licensing systems for government agencies or large organizations.
• MBA or Master's degree in Business Analytics.
• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification.
