MRI Coordinator

OrthoNY is seeking a Full-Time MRI Coordinator (Front Desk Receptionist - Imaging Department) to join our team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and supportive experience for our patients receiving MRI services. Monday–Friday, 8am-4:30pm Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact for MRI patients, delivering warm, professional, and responsive service, obtains required information, documents and signatures; Contacts other imaging centers to set up appointments for our patients and/or provides support to outside vendors; Contacts patients to confirm their test appointment as well as ensures a follow-up appointment has been made Performs check-out process, collects patient payments, including co-pays and any past due balances, post any cash collected into practice management system and issues receipt; Schedules follow-up appointments and testing as provider directs: Posts charges from encounter form in accordance with correct coding guidelines, using CPT, HCPCS and ICD 9 coding formats; Performs accounts receivable work, balances and closes journal each day; Other responsibilities as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Minimum of 1-year experience in a medical setting; 3 years preferred; Excellent communication and customer service skills; Must be familiar with medical terminology; Strong data entry skills.
