Remote Staff Pharmacist – Contract to Hire

We are hiring a Staff Pharmacist for a fully remote opportunity supporting patients through a combination of clinical prescription verification and telephonic medication counseling. This role is well suited for a pharmacist who enjoys patient interaction and applying clinical judgment in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.

Schedule:

• Full-time
• Monday–Friday
• Fully remote

Responsibilities:

• Conduct pharmacist verification of new and refill prescriptions.
• Assess prescriptions for dosing accuracy, therapeutic appropriateness, drug interactions, contraindications, and other potential safety concerns.
• Provide individualized medication counseling and education by phone.
• Assist patients with questions related to medications, refills, side effects, adherence, and proper administration.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers when prescription clarification or intervention is required.
• Ensure all pharmacy activities are completed accurately and in accordance with applicable regulations and company standards.

Requirements:

• Active, unrestricted Idaho Pharmacist license or willingness to obtain Idaho licensure.
• Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal communication and patient counseling abilities.
• Prior retail and/or mail order pharmacy experience preferred.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote setting.
