School Nurse Contract Position

Qualifications:

• Active RN or LPN/LVN license required
• Experience in a school, pediatric, or adolescent healthcare setting preferred
• Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to respond effectively to a variety of student health concerns and emergencies
• Knowledge of state and federal guidelines for student health
• Ability to build trusting relationships with students, families, and staff

What you'll do:

• Provide on-site nursing services, including first aid, medication administration, and chronic disease management for students
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with district and legal standards
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other professionals to support students' health needs in the learning environment
• Educate students and staff on important health topics, including hygiene, infection prevention, and wellness
• Serve as a resource and advocate for student health, liaising with community providers when needed
• Respond promptly and effectively during medical emergencies

Compensation for this position ranges from $31.63 to $51.63. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
