Job Description

• Provide overall on-site leadership, coordination, and management of construction projects.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the construction site, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Coordinate and collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all project personnel.
• Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications, building codes, and regulations.
• Anticipate and proactively address construction-related issues and challenges, implementing effective solutions to keep projects on track.
• Manage and resolve conflicts or disputes that may arise during the construction process.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, daily logs, and change orders.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

The Successful Applicant

• 5+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects for a General Contractor.
• Strong background delivering ground-up and tenant improvement projects through all phases of construction.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractor coordination, RFIs, change orders, and overall project financial performance.
• Strong communicator with the ability to build relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment with strong preconstruction involvement.
• Highly organised with a proactive approach to managing multiple priorities.
• Stable work history with reputable commercial builders and a reputation for accountability and follow-through.
• Familiarity with the Northern Nevada construction market and subcontractor base is highly valued.
