Position Overview:
We are seeking a Criminal Defense Attorney to join a dynamic legal team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about criminal law and is eager to take ownership of cases while working in a collaborative environment.
Handle criminal defense cases from intake through resolution
Represent clients in court for hearings, motions, and trials
Conduct legal research and develop defense strategies
Draft motions, pleadings, and legal documents
Communicate effectively with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
Manage case files and ensure timely progress of all matters
Qualifications:
Licensed to practice law in New Jersey
Experience in criminal defense or strong interest in the practice area
Solid courtroom presence and advocacy skills
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities
Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and client-handling skills
Preferred:
Prior courtroom or trial experience
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
