TIG Welder Responsibilities Perform MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel and mild steel materials. Read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols accurately. Prepare materials and ensure quality andstrength of welds. Operate welding machines and tools efficiently. Adhere to safety standards and protocols, including OSHA regulations. Work comfortably in various welding positions such as flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead. Essential Skills Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding, particularly on stainless steel and mild steel. Ability to pass a math test involving basic arithmetic and measurement identification. Successfully pass MIG/TIG weld test. Capacity to read and interpret blueprints. Possession of personal welding helmet and gloves. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with blueprint reading and fabrication. Familiarity with various welding machines and tools. Safety is prioritized with each welder provided their own booth equipped with a snorkel system to vacuum debris. Enjoy a collaborative and supportive environment with provided PPE, though personal helmets and gloves are required. Shifts include 1st (5:00am - 3:30pm) and 2nd (3:30pm - 2:00am) with a shift differential for 2nd shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
