How You’ll Make An Impact Our Lab Techs strictly adhere to laboratory SOPs to ensure quality and safety and often communicate with our customers via email. They understand our customers’ needs with empathy and know that everything they do is making a difference. This position may require the candidate to work overtime occasionally and to stand for prolonged periods. The best at what they can be. They are proactive, detail‑oriented, able to meet tight deadlines, and thrive in fast‑paced work environments. They understand the big picture while paying attention to the details. We even have a dedicated training program to ensure our Lab Techs are set up for success. Responsibilities Adhere to safety protocols. Strictly follow SOPs and site trainer’s direction in training, sample handling, project processing, and documentation. Maintain the cleanliness of the work area. Sort incoming samples. Prepare sequencing template, including preparation, amplification and PCR purification. Perform labware washing, biohazardous/hazardous waste collection and packaging. Communicate with customers and other departments by email/phone in a friendly and professional manner. Assist in purifying sequencing templates and load samples onto sequencing machines. May need to work with automation platforms. May require overtime and/or weekends. Alternative shifts with advanced notice.
