The Opportunity Mechanical Designer: Design HVAC and mechanical systems across a wide range of building types Ideal for a designer looking to grow into ownership of full mechanical design packages Exposure to residential, healthcare, hospitality, education, laboratory/research, and corporate interiors, you won't be boxed into one building type What You'll Be Doing Design mechanical/HVAC systems using established company standards and templates Perform load calculations and equipment sizing/selection Coordinate mechanical room layouts and system routing with electrical, plumbing, and fire protection teams Generate mechanical specifications and sequences of operation Review shop drawings and submittals for compliance with design intent Attend client meetings and represent the firm with outside consultants What You Bring 2-4+ years of mechanical/HVAC design experience in the built environment Strong command of AutoCAD and Revit; familiarity with load calculation software (Trane Trace, Carrier HAP, or similar) Working knowledge of ASHRAE standards and energy code compliance (IECC) Comfort coordinating across disciplines and attending client-facing meetings Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred; FE certification or PE pursuit a plus Local to the Hollywood, FL area or open to relocating Why This Role Real retention and culture, median employee tenure of 12+ years, named a Best Place to Work in NYC for two years running Broad, varied project exposure across nearly every major building sector Full benefits, retirement plan, and an award-winning internal University for ongoing professional development Early opportunities for project ownership, designers aren't limited to one specialty track #J-18808-Ljbffr WellSuited Talent
