• Job Title: Electrophysiology Technician
• Location: Anchorage, Alaska
• Assignment Type: Travel healthcare assignment
• Assignment Length: 26 weeks
• Start Date: November 16, 2026
• End Date: May 17, 2027
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,710–$2,920
• Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts per week, generally 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
• Call: Limited evening call from approximately 6:00–8:00 p.m. when needed; staff may remain late until procedures are complete
• Weekend Schedule: Some Saturdays are included in the regular four-shift schedule; every fourth weekend may include call
• Charting System: Epic
• Guaranteed Hours: 70 hours per two-week period, with the possibility of one 10-hour shift being called off during that period

Electrophysiology Technician Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as an Electrophysiology Technician, EP Technician, or cardiovascular procedural technologist in cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, or a closely related setting
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a sterile field and support complex cardiovascular, electrophysiology, and interventional procedures
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, rhythm interpretation, accurate physiologic monitoring, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
• Experience with cardiac mapping, ablation procedures, cardioversion, conduction studies, device implantation, and pacemaker procedures
• Experience supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including STEMI response, Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump, structural heart procedures, and temporary pacemaker placement
• Experience with interventional radiology or neurointerventional procedures, including vascular access, embolization, thrombectomy, angiography, and stent placement, is strongly preferred
• Must be willing to work on-site, participate in scheduled call, and float within scope to support related units or nearby affiliated locations when needed
• Applicants must reside at least 50 miles from the assignment location

Electrophysiology Technician Responsibilities

• Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies for electrophysiology lab, cardiac catheterization, interventional radiology, and neurointerventional cases
• Assist with electrophysiology evaluations, cardiac mapping, ablations, cardioversions, conduction studies, and cardiac rhythm management device implant procedures
• Support diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including right heart catheterization, angioplasty, stent placement, atherectomy, TAVR, PFO closure, MitraClip, and LAA closure
• Assist with high-acuity procedures involving STEMI care, Impella, IABP, TandemHeart, temporary pacemakers, and other advanced circulatory support technologies
• Support interventional radiology and neurointerventional procedures, including line and drain work, embolization, vascular intervention, stroke thrombectomy, and fistula procedures
• Perform accurate physiologic and hemodynamic monitoring while promptly recognizing and communicating significant rhythm or patient-status changes
• Maintain sterile technique, assist with equipment setup and troubleshooting, and help ensure safe, efficient case flow
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, technologists, and other members of the cardiovascular and procedural care team throughout each case
• Remain available for scheduled evening call or stay with the late team until cases are completed
