ASSISTANT PROPERTY MANAGER (Lease-Up)

Location: The Faywell Apartments; Wheaton, IL

Schedule: Full-Time; Weekend availability required

Hourly Rate: $22.00 - $28.00, based on experience

Position Requirements

• Education : High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience : Two or more years of residential property management experience or a related position in customer service, hospitality, or sales.
• Physical : Frequent walking, stairs, standing, climbing, crouching, kneeling, and reaching. Ability to lift, push and pull up to 40 pounds.
• Valid driver's license and reliable, personal vehicle
• Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation is a plus!

Banner Property Management, LLC is thrilled to expand our growing portfolio with The Faywell Apartments, a brand-new 334-unit luxury community Wheaton, IL. This exciting new development represents our continued commitment to creating exceptional places to live and building strong, vibrant communities.

We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Property Manager to join the team and play an important role in the successful lease-up and ongoing operations of this new community.

This is a dynamic, people-focused role that blends customer service, leasing, accounting, and property operations. We're looking for someone who is warm and approachable, highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing a variety of priorities. You'll support rent collection, leasing and renewals, resident relations, administrative processes, and the day-to-day activities that keep the community running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

• Support monthly rent collection, posting, and resident notifications
• Assist with delinquency management, move-out charges, deposit accounting, and reporting
• Conduct apartment tours and support leasing activities, including lead follow-up and application processing
• Help coordinate renewals and maintain accurate, organized resident files
• Enter, monitor, and follow up on service requests to help ensure a positive resident experience
• Contribute to marketing efforts, outreach, and online advertising
• Maintain renters insurance compliance and support community programs and activities
• Communicate professionally with residents, prospects, and team members
• Exercise sound judgment and act in the best interest of the community, residents, and Company

• Ability to connect with and build positive relationships with a wide range of personalities
• Previous experience in property management, hospitality, customer service, leasing or sales
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, new development environment where priorities can shift
• A team-oriented approach and willingness to jump in wherever needed
