As a Manager, you will be responsible for the following:Successfully direct, lead, equip and empower planners through example, oversight and development, to: Build and maintain forecasts and staffing plans to provide Operations/Business partners with the information they need to proactively hire, train, and shift staff in order to achieve service levels and financial targetsCommunicating staffing plans, risks, and recommendations to VPs and Director, and collaboration with these leaders to continually adjust based on changing business needsModel the operational impact of a variety of business and regulatory initiatives, benefit administration requestsCreate and maintain a variety of operational reports related to FTEs, workforce metrics, membershipAs part of this elite team, you will be empowered to impact the health care system through the analysis and interpretation of data, and presenting recommendations for business solutions. Primary Responsibilities: Successfully direct, lead, equip and empower planners through example, oversight and development, to fulfill all aspects of the role of the planner. Serve as SME and trusted advisor for that LOB or functional areaServe as liaison to Finance for all forecasting and budgeting activitiesComplete FTE walks reconciling from one forecast cycle to the next, monthly results verses forecastTrack all forecast changes via Target TrackersProvide data and commentary for Executive reportingManage capacity plans and staffing models end to endResponsible for FTE upload to forecast ledgerResponsible for OIA process end to end, obtaining segment financial approvalConsolidate mass target trackers for items impacting across Benefit OperationsCost Benefit AnalysisComplete Real Estate Demand ForecastIndependently manage to completion a variety of incoming request from Operations, Finance and other business partnersIdentify and implement process improvements to more accurately and efficiently complete end to end planning processYou’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Health Administration or related field 4+ years of business or finance operations experienceAdvanced level of experience working with Microsoft Excel with the ability to create spreadsheets and perform VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and complex file links with proven experience in creating ad hoc reports, manipulating multiple large data sets, etc.Knowledge of business statisticSolid verbal and written communication skills, including proven ability to effectively communicate data and trend analysis, concerns regarding performance, action plans, and solutions to senior level executivesDemonstrated process improvement, workflow, benchmarking and / or evaluation of business processesPreferred Qualifications: MBASupervisory experienceExperience with automated database management systems (SAS, SQL, etc.)Six Sigma knowledge/experienceHyperion Essbase and / or SmartviewAdvanced skills in Access Ability to succeed in self-directed environmentAdaptable and able to quickly move with change while maintaining a positive attitude Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including early/late hours at timesExcellent problem-solving skills, ability to succeed in self-directed environmentDemonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks To protect the health and safety of our workforce, patients and communities we serve, UnitedHealth Group and its affiliate companies now require all employees to disclose COVID-19 vaccination status prior to beginning employment. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600.
