Details 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU within a Level III Trauma Center Cares for adult patients with diagnoses including substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock Attendings and residents present in the ICU 24 hours/day Night shift schedule (7:00 PM-7:30 AM) with every other weekend required Night shift does not rotate Floating required, mostly to Medical/Surgical units RN to patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 for high acuity patients, and 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to Med/Surg areas Uses EPIC EMR Requirements Active Massachusetts RN license required (MA Conditional licenses not accepted) AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required 2 years of continuous adult ICU experience required, preferably in a MICU Telemetry competency required, including ability to read tele strips EPIC charting experience Additional Information Provide direct care to critically ill adult ICU patients across a wide range of complex diagnoses Flu vaccine required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions allowed Free on-site parking available Local candidates permitted with permanent residence within 60 miles of Boston, at a reduced rate American Traveler Job ID P-740755.
