About the Position

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Days | 5×8-hour shifts | 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM | Expected 40 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care and monitoring for patients recovering from surgical or procedural sedation
• Assess and manage patient pain, airway, hemodynamic stability, and level of consciousness in the PACU setting
• Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams to ensure safe patient transitions and handoffs
• Administer medications and interventions as ordered, documenting care accurately in the medical record
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care instructions and discharge criteria

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Georgia or a compact state license
• Minimum 18 months of PACU experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-volume or academic acute care PACU environment
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) documentation systems
• Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment skills in a fast-paced post-operative setting
