AAC is seeking an experienced and transformational executive leader to serve as Interim Executive Director of Network Infrastructure Services . This critical leadership role will provide temporary executive oversight during a period of significant organizational change and modernization. The Interim Executive Director will be responsible for stabilizing operations, strengthening organizational culture, improving service delivery, and implementing sustainable leadership and management practices. This individual will work closely with university leadership, departmental managers, and campus stakeholders to position the organization for long-term success and ensure a seamless transition to permanent leadership. This role is ideal for an accomplished executive with a proven track record in organizational transformation, change management, operational improvement, and leadership of complex technology organizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and oversight for all departmental operations
• Lead organizational transformation and culture improvement initiatives
• Evaluate organizational structure, staffing models, operational processes, and service delivery effectiveness
• Implement organizational changes designed to improve performance, accountability, and customer service
• Supervise managers, supervisors, and professional staff
• Establish performance expectations and monitor organizational outcomes
• Make strategic personnel, operational, and resource allocation decisions
• Partner with Human Resources to address employee relations and performance management matters
• Improve collaboration with campus partners, university administration, and key stakeholders
• Develop and oversee departmental priorities, metrics, budgets, and strategic resource plans
• Ensure compliance with university policies, security standards, audit requirements, and regulatory obligations
• Remove organizational barriers that impact productivity, innovation, and collaboration
• Provide executive-level reports, recommendations, and updates to senior leadership
• Develop succession plans, operational documentation, and transition materials for incoming permanent leadership

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of progressively responsible leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, training, and experience
• Minimum 3 years of executive-level experience leading organizational transformation and change management initiatives
• Minimum 3 years of experience leading organizational restructuring and culture-change efforts
• Minimum 3 years of executive leadership experience within large, complex technology organizations
• Minimum 3 years of experience in personnel management, leadership coaching, and performance accountability

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading organizational turnaround initiatives
• Experience rebuilding workplace culture during or following periods of organizational instability
• Experience implementing governance frameworks and operational maturity models
• Experience managing organizational change within higher education environments
• Enterprise IT strategy development experience
• Experience working with executive leadership teams, governing boards, and cabinet-level administrators
• Knowledge of network operations, enterprise network architecture, engineering, project management, and change management
• Experience supporting audit remediation, compliance, and risk management initiatives
