You will oversee the entire compensation process, from administering market analysis, to running merit cycles, pricing new roles and overseeing important outcomes such as pay parity and competitive pay.Where you’ll workThis role will be based in our New York City office. We are a hybrid environment that combines the energy and connections of being in the office with the benefits and flexibility of working from home. We currently require a minimum of three coordinated days in the office per week, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. As a perk, we also have up to four weeks per year of fully remote work!ResponsibilitiesHelp develop and articulate Brex’s total rewards strategy and long-term vision, ensuring alignment with business goals and future scaleManage Compensation programs, such as participating in benchmarking and surveys, to calibrate and maintain Brex’s market positioningOversee annual merit cycle to ensure pay parity and competitive compensation across teams and geographiesPromote the understanding of compensation philosophies, practices and administration across all levels of the organization, including the executive team.Lead initiatives that work towards the refining and evolving Brex’s compensation model as it approaches maturity and scaleMeasure and track key compensation and hiring-related leading indicators to help inform, influence, support, and execute business decisionsPartner with business leaders and People Partners to refine new or evolving roles and their corresponding incentive modelsWork with the Recruiting and Finance teams to keep up with offer competitiveness while maintaining fiscal responsibilityProduce ad hoc analyses with quick turnarounds based on business and/or Compensation Committee (or Board of Director) needsAide in the completion of regulatory compliance reportsRequirements8+ years of work experience in Compensation administration; Exceptional attention to detail, prioritization and time management skills in handling multiple priorities and meet challenging deadlinesComfortable with ambiguityStrong planning, project management, organizational and communication skillsExcellent Excel or Google Sheets skills. Pave knowledge a plus. Bonus pointsPresentation skillsProject management experience Prior startup experienceCompensationThe expected salary range for this role is $212,440 - $265,550 USD. However, the starting base pay will depend on a number of factors including the candidate’s location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity.
