Scheduling Specialist

Job Responsibilities Serve as a subject matter expert in clinical programs and provide member support and outreach. Conduct member outreach phone calls and manage inbound calls within departmental timeframes, respecting member communication preferences. Collaborate with partner departments to facilitate the member experience. Identify members targeted for care gaps, analyze program eligibility, and connect them to appropriate providers. Enter and document member demographics with accuracy and timely wrap‑up to support outcomes reporting. Meet or exceed individual and team goals, submitting activity reports as required. Contribute to a culture of “above and beyond” customer service to ensure the highest level of member satisfaction. Perform any other duties assigned. Job Requirements Experience: Required: Minimum 1 year of call center experience helping members navigate access to care through Medicare Advantage or HMO, including referrals and authorizations. Preferred: Experience in a clinical setting managing provider schedules; experience navigating Medicare Advantage benefits, including medical, prescription drug, and supplemental benefits. Preferred: Call Center experience in welcome/onboarding, appointment scheduling, retention, sales, or other health care/health plan related programs and/or inbound call center experience with higher‑level problem solving such as escalation or resolution. Education: Required: High School Diploma or GED. Preferred: College courses. Licensure: None. Languages: Bilingual English/Spanish, or Vietnamese, Chinese (Mandarin), Korean (preferred). Must be available to work full‑time, including overtime during the Annual and Open Enrollment periods (Oct–Dec, Jan–Mar). Desired Skills Strong written and oral communication; ability to establish constructive relationships with diverse members, management, employees, and vendors. Effective problem solving, organizational and time management skills, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Computer skills: strong computer skills and typing 40+ words per minute. Mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide with US currency and measurements. Reasoning skills: apply common sense to detailed written and oral instructions and solve standardized problems. Pay Range $41,600.00 - $57,600.00 (may vary by market location, education, responsibilities, experience).
