Assistant/Senior Assistant, Graduate Admissions

Role Overview The Assistant or Senior Assistant, Graduate Admissions will be an integral part of the admissions team charged with supporting the recruiting and admissions efforts across the suite of graduate programs. They will play a key role in the growth of graduate student enrollment, manage the conversion process from inquiry to enrolled students and support multiple outreach mediums; staff recruiting events (on and off campus); take an active role in the interview and application review process; and represent the College externally to multiple constituents. What You Will Do Responsible for implementing the conversion process for the graduate programs including proactive outreach to inquiries, applicants, and admitted candidates via web, telephone, mail, e‑mail, social media, and in person. Interview and counsel prospective students and evaluate their candidacy for Babson’s graduate programs. Meet targeted enrollment goals through the establishment of effective sales strategies and relationship management. Promote Babson’s Graduate programs through direct sales, professional presentations, and the execution of well-coordinated recruitment travel (both domestic and international) and onsite (across all Babson locations) and virtual events. In collaboration with the recruitment team, manage the prospect funnel (from inquiry through enrollment) for a select pipeline. Review admission applications to the College; present recommendations to the admission committee; and have ownership in decision-making processes (including evening and weekend work). Work in collaboration with the Admissions team and the Events Manager to plan and execute all recruiting events, both on campus and off. Regularly scheduled programs for prospective candidates on and off campus Monthly information sessions Visitor programs Yield receptions Programs for admitted students Outreach and participation in all graduate program recruiting activities. Provide input as necessary in the development of Graduate Admissions marketing materials, develop, implement, and maintain email communications strategy in partnership with Marketing. Provide tracking, reporting, and continuous feedback to key internal stakeholders to aid in enrollment scenario planning for upcoming years. Support and maintain a productive, collaborative, and continuous feedback loop with colleagues within the Graduate School and College. Areas important to our business include the Dean’s Office, Program Management, Career Services, International Programs, College Marketing, and Student Financial Services. Education and Skills Bachelor’s Degree Minimum of 5+ years of experience in college admissions, marketing, recruiting, staffing, or sales Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong focus on customer service Make‑it‑happen mindset that leverages creative solutions to recruit strong candidates Detail‑oriented and able to handle multiple projects with frequent deadlines in a fast‑paced environment Demonstrated ability to report and manipulate data to identify shifts and trends in the marketplace and redirect efforts to ensure enrollment goals are attained Ability to work with ethnically, culturally, and socially diverse students, staff, and faculty Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Mail Merge, Sort/Filter in Excel, data manipulation) Ability to envision and propose new methods to perform tasks that support Entrepreneurial Thought & Action; take thoughtful risks; and accept new and ongoing initiatives, objectives, and solutions to gain sought‑after results Ability to anticipate and embrace change; demonstrate willingness to achieve, acquire, and utilize new skills and challenging tasks; flexible in changing conditions How and Where You Will Work Have had a valid unrestricted U.S. Driver’s License for one year and maintain throughout employment an insurable driving record or a satisfactory record as determined by the College’s insurer’s criteria Successfully complete and pass the College’s vehicle training program within the first 60 days of employment Annual or more frequent review of employee’s driving record based on the College insurer’s criteria and safety training as required by management Ability to work some evenings and weekends Required to travel domestically and internationally Work onsite a minimum of 3 days a week (requires 5 days a week for the first 3 months for training purposes); the on‑campus requirement is subject to modification based on organizational need Additional Skills You May Have Master’s degree in business administration or education, or equivalent strongly preferred Previous experience with web‑based and electronic marketing, customer relationship management (CRM), and data management and mining preferred Minimum of 4‑6 years of experience to be considered for the Assistant Director level 5+ years of experience to be considered for the Senior Assistant Director level Pay Assistant Director level (4‑6 years): $67,211‑$74,679 depending on experience Senior Assistant Director level (5+ years): $70,571‑$78,412 depending on experience Benefits Babson College offers a comprehensive benefits package for full‑time employees working at least 28 hours per week, including medical, dental, vision, group life and long‑term disability insurance, business travel accident insurance, and mental health benefits.
