Contract Specialist II

Job Description Administers moderately complex contracts throughout life‑cycle. Manages, plans, evaluates solicitations, administers, and closes out general service contracts. Knowledge and ability to review contract documentation for discrepancies and conformance to standards. Ability to write clear, concise and accurate communication. Ability to make decisions by interpreting written and oral instructions, and following historical records to extrapolate and apply techniques. Job Grade 4 Job Tier 2 Career Area Contracting Supervisor No Job Qualifications Four years of office/business experience and two years of contract/procurement experience, OR Bachelor's degree in business management and two years of office/business and contract/procurement experience. Associate must complete all required training and be fully qualified to obtain contracting officer authority certification within 18 months of selection. Degree (one of) Bachelor's degree – Preferred Major/Minor (one of) Business Administration – Preferred Business Management – Preferred Supply Chain Management – Preferred Additional Qualifications/Requirements PCS / LSP not authorized. Technical Skills Microsoft Office products – Required Oracle iProcurement system – Preferred Salary Minimum $62,693.00 Major Duties Under general supervision, develop, prepare, and administer moderately complex contracts, bids, and proposals. Participate in contract negotiations and execute tactical sourcing activities. Confirm necessary procedural controls exist and identify any potential risk or compliance issues. Ensure all contract documentation is compliant with organizational and regulatory standards. Prepare reports as needed. Manage vendor relationships, monitoring vendor performance to include compliance, quality, and service. Resolve associated issues promptly. Collaborate with business units, suppliers, and key stakeholders. Act as business advisor to internal customers. Perform other duties as assigned.
