Executive Director About the Company Well-established organization providing support services to individuals living with HIV/AIDS Industry Civic & Social Organization Type Privately Held Founded 1988 Employees 11-50 About the Role The Company is a community-based nonprofit organization dedicated to providing supportive services to residents living with HIV/AIDS, Hep C, and their loved ones. The Executive Director will be a key partner with the Board of Directors, responsible for executing the organization's mission, setting annual goals and budgets, providing programmatic oversight, and leading fundraising efforts. This role demands a visionary leader with a minimum of five years' progressive leadership experience, a deep passion for the mission, and a commitment to the communities served. The successful candidate will inspire and guide the team, think strategically to advance the mission and sustainability, and promote innovation and best practices in the field. Experience in behavioral health, primary health care, HIV/AIDS education, prevention, advocacy, social services, or other relevant executive experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Central Coast of California and provide thought leadership on how the organization can adapt to benefit both its financial success and the health care needs of the community. A bachelor's or master's degree in public health, business, planning, or a related field is also preferred. The Executive Director must possess proven leadership skills, effective communication, strategic planning, relationship building, and financial acumen. The role requires a hands-on approach, with the expectation of being present in the office and accessible to staff both administratively and programmatically.
