Job Title: Pulmonary Function Technologist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: Pulmonary Function Technologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x8-Hour and Day 1x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 8 hours and 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Respiratory Therapy License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, RPFT, RRT Must-Have: - Experience in arterial punctures - Proficiency in bronchial provocation testing - Knowledge of diffusion testing - Familiarity with exhaled breath testing - Competence in lung volume testing (nitrogen washout and plethysmograph) - Experience with pulmonary function tests - Skills in respiratory therapy administration - Proficiency in spirometry Description: The Pulmonary Function Technologist will conduct pulmonary diagnostic tests. Responsibilities include performing patient evaluations and administering tests. The technologist will prepare patients for procedures and explain the test process. They will also record test results and ensure accuracy in documentation. The position requires collaboration with healthcare professionals to interpret results. Additional duties include maintaining equipment and ensuring a safe testing environment. This role involves interacting with adult patients and delivering high-quality care. The technologist will handle confidential patient information with discretion. Compliance with health and safety regulations is mandatory.
