Unit Details: 32-bed unit 22 Cardiac Stepdown beds 10 Medical-Surgical beds Nurse-to-patient ratios: Stepdown: 1:3 Floor: 1:5–6 Dedicated telemetry monitoring technicians EPIC electronic medical record Patient Population: Heart failure Cardiology patients Post-cardiac surgery recovery Medical-surgical overflow Hospitalist-managed patients Patients requiring telemetry and cardiac monitoring WHY AHS?
