Human Resources Generalist

Summary This position handles a variety of Human Resources responsibilities and delivers high-quality services to all firm employees. The person in this role will have to move seamlessly among topics relating to benefits, recruiting, operations, and employee relations, etc., throughout the day. A thorough knowledge of all firm and practice specific processes and procedures, as well as information technology systems, payroll and benefit processes will be required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for all attorney and staff benefit enrollment and maintenance, including leading Open Enrollment Partner with AP and Payroll Specialist on processing payroll for both exempt and non-exempt employees Track and maintain Paid Time Off requests and records Maintains personnel files and employee compliance documentation such as I9 and W4 forms Coordinates recruiting and interview process of prospective attorneys and staff members Coordinates all onboarding and offboarding of employees in partnership with Administration team Lead annual performance review process Partner with Executive Director on annual compensation planning Partner with Executive Director on establishing annual HR budgets Partner with Controller on 401k plan administration Partner with the Operations Director on special projects Partner with Marketing and Operations Coordinator on planning attorney and staff engagement activities Receive and document employee relations issues and partner with Executive Director on resolution Assist Executive Director with general firm duties Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource management or related discipline required Minimum of 3-6 years of work experience with 2-3 years of general HR experience Knowledge of all Microsoft Office products and payroll systems; knowledge of iSolved preferred Experience with benefits administration Skill Set and Abilities Reading and Writing: Ability to read and comprehend instructions, complex documents, correspondence and memos Strong knowledge of computer operations and spreadsheet software Strong communication and interpersonal skills: Demonstrates effective teamwork, communication and prioritizes and anticipates work needs. Must be able to work well under occasional periods of pressure and short deadlines. Ability to handle sensitive data and information confidentially and professionally Salary range: $75,000-$90,000 #J-18808-Ljbffr
