As an A&P Mechanic III , you will play a vital role in ensuring aircraft are maintained to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance. You'll diagnose issues, perform complex repairs, replace and maintain critical aircraft components, and conduct inspections that help keep aircraft mission-ready.

What You'll Do


As part of the maintenance team, you will:

• Perform repairs, maintenance, and replacement of aircraft airframe and powerplant components
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose mechanical and functional issues on aircraft systems
• Test, repair, and replace defective or malfunctioning aircraft parts and assemblies
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, manuals, and maintenance publications
• Utilize specialized tools and equipment to perform aircraft diagnostics and repairs
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with FAA regulations and company quality standards
• Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities
• Support a clean, organized, and safety-focused hangar environment
• Conduct inspections and functional checks to verify aircraft airworthiness
• Work safely around hazardous materials, machinery, and aviation equipment

Required Qualifications

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• Active and current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification with no prior FAA violations
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Typically 4+ years of relevant aviation maintenance experience
• Advanced skills in repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting aircraft airframes and engines
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and aviation publications
• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Reliable transportation to and from work locations
• Must possess and maintain personal tools in good working order
• Ability to pass and maintain Class 3 physical requirements, including a hearing test
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance

Preferred Qualifications


Candidates with the following experience are highly desirable:

• FAA Repair Station experience
• Quality Assurance experience within aviation maintenance environments
• Ability to travel regularly and/or work alternate shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed
• Experience working in Aerospace & Defense environments
• Military aviation maintenance experience
• Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS)

Physical & Working Environment


This role requires a hands-on professional who is comfortable working in demanding aviation environments. You will:

• Regularly stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, and access aircraft work areas
• Frequently perform repetitive hand and arm movements requiring strong dexterity
• Lift and carry materials and equipment up to 50 pounds
• Work in environments exposed to varying weather conditions
• Be exposed to loud noise, aviation chemicals, fumes, and industrial equipment
• Work in a safety-sensitive position involving aircraft, specialized equipment, and hazardous materials
