Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for diverse age groups using a variety of assessment tools and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans that address both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs.
• Implement individualized speech therapy strategies focused on language development, fluency, voice control, and swallowing challenges.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including occupational and physical therapists, nurses, and family members, to ensure holistic care.
• Provide education to patients and their families to reinforce progress in their everyday life.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
• Document patient progress and therapy plans in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
• Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with the latest advancements in speech pathology.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successfully completed a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Pathologist .
• Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within the first month of employment.
