Full Time Clerical Chester, VA, US 7 days ago Requisition ID: 1059 Job Summary: The Shipping clerk oversees and keeps records of all shipping and receiving. More specifically, they are responsible for organizing, sorting, and transferring goods from one location to another. Duties/Responsibilities: Monitor scheduled loads and print paperwork in advance. Verify accuracy of all load documentation. Check in drivers upon arrival and enter required information into the system. Confirm with the supervisor/lead before processing completed loads and converting pick tickets to Bills of Lading (BOLs). Convert and review completed load paperwork for accuracy and completeness. Provide drivers with the correct BOLs before departure. Monitor emails for additional documentation needed to complete BOLs. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent supervisory and interpersonal skills. Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures. Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies. Education and Experience: High school required Minimum of 1-year previous experience Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
