Medication Technician- All Shifts

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Provide residents with medication administration and treatment assistance and servicesaccordingtothe health care provider’s orders Supervise residents who self-administer medication while following company andregulatoryguidelines Maintain resident records regarding medication distribution and incidents; Observeresidents for safety and reports any and all changes in resident condition effectively,accurately,and in a timely mannertoLN on duty Assisting residents with ADL tasks including but not limited to: assisting with bathing,grooming,toileting,dressing,oralcare,ambulation,transfers,servingandassistingwithmeals,feeding,housekeeping,bedmaking,andlaundry Always observe and uphold resident rights; assist residents to and from meals; Relatetoresidentsin a courteous, empathetic,and cooperative manner Must be willing to work with and provide assistance to other staff from all departments toensure quality of care for residents Documents pertinent information in residents charts and in other specified locations (e.g.; alert charting and incident reports) Communicates with physicians, via fax and telephone Keepenvironment safe andclean for residents Performotherrelateddutiesasassignedbysupervisor Carryandpossesaworkingknowledgeofcommunitycommunication system and EHR. Observes for and reports resident problems and reports such problems to supervisor Additional Functions: Must be neat in appearance, pleasant personality, be congenial to fellow team members, residents, families and the public in general. Must be capable of using own judgement and initiative in daily duties. Always demonstrates safe working practices. Maintains a professional image to residents and fellow co-workers in words, actions and in appearance Always maintain confidentiality and privacy of our residents and staff. Mustpossessanupbeat,positive,flexible,andenthusiasticpersonalityandbecongenialwithfellow employees, residents,andthepublicatlarge. Mustbeanhonestanddependableindividual. Mustmaintainproperhygieneandbeprofessionalindressandpresentation. Must be a mature individual.Must possess the ability to multi-task in a fast-pacedenvironmentandperformavarietyoftasks,oftenchangingassignmentsonshortnotice. Must be detail and teamwork oriented and have strong organizational skills, as well astheability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Must be able to pass Criminal Background Check, Health Screening including TB test. Must be eighteen (18) years old. Maintains current CPR and first aid certification Ability to read, analyze, and interpret charting standards, physician orders, or administrative regulations. Assisted Living and Memory Care regulations knowledge Ability to prioritize, organize and delegate assignments. Mustattendrequiredin-services/workshopstofurthereducationofskillsandcommunity requirements. Successfulcompletionofstatecertifiedmedicationaide/techcourse. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing in standard English. The employee shall be responsible for maintaining the integrity of Fields Senior Living. Physical Demands and Requirements: Maintain ability to lift 50 pounds; to stand or walk throughout the vast majority of the workday; and to frequently push, pull, bend, twist and reach. Mustbewillingtobeactiveandonfeetduringentireworkshift. Involves light to heavy physical activity performing non-strenuous and strenuous activities.
