Interpreter

INTERMITTENT INTERPRETER – Tagalog Intermittent Interpreters provide simultaneous and consecutive interpreting services during court proceedings and may also assist in customer service settings, provide sight translations, and work in courtroom or office environments. They have significant contact with judges, court staff, attorneys, and the public. Job Schedule Intermittent Interpreters are scheduled on an as‑needed basis with no limits on the amount of work they may accept or reject within a calendar year. They may be assigned to any court location based on daily needs. They are eligible for Social Security and Workers' Compensation coverage. Salary Paid $47.20 per hour, with a four‑hour minimum guarantee. Additional hours are paid hourly beyond the minimum. Minimum Qualifications Valid and current certification as a "Certified Court Interpreter" in Tagalog issued by the Judicial Council of California.
