Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Performs specialized nursing care in an outpatient surgical setting, supporting patients through pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases. Collaborates with surgical teams to ensure efficient and safe procedures while providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and prepare patients for outpatient surgery and endoscopy procedures.
• Monitor vital signs and manage moderate sedation during procedures.
• Administer medications and oversee patient recovery in PACU phase II.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, procedures, and medications.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols for pre-op and post-op workflows.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and surgical team members.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid California RN license.
• Possess BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Have at least 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in outpatient surgery, endoscopy, or perioperative care.
• Be comfortable managing pre-op and PACU phase II workflows.
• Experience with moderate sedation and rapid patient turnover is highly desirable.
