Job Details Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) Employment Type: Travel Nurse Assignment Location: Alamogordo, NM 88310 Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:00-16:00 Shift Duration: 10-hour day shifts Work Schedule: 4 days per week Hours Per Week: 40 Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370 Openings: 1 Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico Current AHA BLS certification required Current AHA ACLS certification required Current AHA PALS certification required Current CPI certification required At least 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Basic computer skills and familiarity with clinical documentation Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with the surgical team Responsibilities Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to surgical patients in the operating room Care for a variety of cases, including orthopedic, general, podiatry, GYN/OB, C-sections, pain management, urology, and endoscopy Demonstrate proficiency in the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation Collaborate with physicians, staff, and management to ensure patient needs are met Maintain clinical competency and continue learning new skills within the perioperative department Follow safety standards, medication rights, policies, and procedures at all times Support teamwork, professionalism, and positive patient and family experiences Promote confidentiality, patient advocacy, and respectful, culturally sensitive care Participate in quality improvement, compliance, and departmental competency requirements Why This OR RN Travel Assignment?
