Details Hospital-based General Surgery unit Surgical patient population includes Orthopedic, General, Podiatry, GYN/OB (including C-Sections), Pain Management, Urology, and Endoscopy cases 4x10-hour day shifts, 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM 13-week assignment length Requirements Active RN license in New Mexico or compact required BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA only) Verbal CPI certification required at hire 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred BSN preferred Additional Information Applies the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for surgical patients Collaborates with physicians, staff, and management to ensure patient needs are met Acts as a patient advocate while respecting cultural and religious beliefs Must reside within a 50-mile radius for local candidate consideration Previous CHRISTUS employees (non-travel) must be separated for 6 months across the entire CHRISTUS Health System before being eligible for a travel assignment American Traveler Job ID P-749168.
