MillwrightMillwright maintains, repairs, and installs equipment, machinery, and facilities under direct supervision. Maintains a variety of records; participates in special projects; and performs a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility.Principle Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssembling and installing machines then testing them to make sure they are working correctlyMust work in full compliance with the approved safety regulationsManaging the layout and placement of equipment and machinery in factory settings to ensure minimum downtimeIdentifying and repairing problematic parts of a machine by running tests, making temporary repairs, or installing new partsDismantling older machines and replacing them with new onesOverseeing preventive maintenance by identifying and correcting potential issues, removing worn out pieces and lubricating mechanical partsUsing machinery or equipment, such as forklifts, to move mechanical partsThis position performs routine tasks and duties including performing scheduled preventative maintenance pm assigned by a supervisorInspects, repairs, and maintains mechanical equipment and machinery using a variety of toolsKnowledge of OSHA requirements as they pertain to daily activitiesPractices safety awareness in all actions, including machine operation and lock-out/tag-out procedures for all responsibilitiesShares information with the supervisor and other team members in a manner that is understandablePossesses strong troubleshooting skillsGeneral knowledge of tools both hand tools and power toolsAbility to provide personal tools as requiredMust be able to read and understand basic machine schematics with little guidanceHighly organized with an emphasis on detailOrganize parts and materials in the proper locationsLift, move, push, pull, carry and manipulate large and small materials weighing up to 20lbs frequently and up to 50lbs unaccompaniedDisplay a positive team player approach supporting management objectivesAble to follow directions wellDisplay the willingness to learnAbility to work with other departments to ensure overall successOther duties as assignedQualificationsHigh School graduate or GED required1-2 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment is desirableGood at adhering to strict safety guidelines and cognizant of safety risksMechanical aptitude in dealing with wrenches, hammers, forklifts, and other similar toolsWorking knowledge of mechanical technical skills to allow them to effectively read documents such as specifications, machine manuals, and blueprintsProficient in troubleshooting techniques to solve machine issuesExcellent mathematical skills and strong attention to detailAbility to be a team player due to constant interactions with similar employees and stakeholders such as Engineers, Plant Managers, and Part Vendors, amongst othersMust possess a valid state driver's licenseMust have the ability to use the following equipment in a safe and effective manner: hydraulic equipment, pneumatic equipment, presses, cordless drills, clamps, and other misc small toolsWilling to learn how to properly use a variety of measuring equipment to a high level of accuracy of 0.001" to diagnose wear or damage in machine parts; such as digital and dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, levels, angle and depth gages, etcFamiliarity with related hand tools and troubleshooting equipmentHourly pay range $30-$40/hrBenefits currently offered to our employees:Medical insuranceHealth savings account with company contributionDental insuranceVision insuranceBasic and voluntary life insuranceDisability insurance401(k) plan with company matchPaid vacation and holidaysStock purchase program with employee discountEducational reimbursementWellness programs and challengesOther supplemental benefitsThe Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
