Role Description The Millwright Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Chicago, IL. This position oversees millwright crews performing installation, maintenance, repair, and alignment of industrial machinery and mechanical systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and assigning work, coordinating materials and equipment, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and monitoring project timelines and budgets. The supervisor will troubleshoot mechanical issues, provide technical guidance, and collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to meet project requirements. This role also involves documenting work performed, maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations, and supporting training and development of crew members. Qualifications Strong experience in millwright work, including installation, alignment, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and mechanical systems. Demonstrated supervisory or lead experience managing craft workers, coordinating shifts, and overseeing field operations. Solid understanding of industrial safety standards, OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and safe use of tools and equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, equipment manuals, and specifications. Effective communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills for coordinating with teams and clients in a dynamic environment. Proficiency in basic computer applications for reporting, scheduling, and documentation; familiarity with CMMS or project management software is a plus. Relevant trade certification, apprenticeship completion, or technical training in millwright, mechanical, or industrial disciplines; journeyperson status Required.
