Emergency Radiologist

Detroit Medical Center Radiology is seeking an ED Radiologist to join its growing, high-acuity team. This role offers the opportunity to practice across a network of Level I, II, and III trauma centers, serving a clinically complex and diverse urban population. The position provides customizable FTE models, remote or hybrid reading options, and a genuine teaching culture with 1:1 resident pairing on ED shifts.
Practice Info
- Multi-site urban health system including Level I, II, and III trauma centers, tertiary academic, and community hospital environments
- Sites: Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital (Level III), Harper University Hospital (tertiary academic), Detroit Receiving Hospital (Level I), Sinai-Grace Hospital (Level II)
- Median patient volume of 100-110 cases per day across shifts
- ACGME-accredited residency with 6 residents per year; 1:1 pairing on ED shifts
- Subspecialties in Group: Neuroradiology, MSK, Body Imaging, Pediatric, Nuclear Medicine, IR, Breast/Women's Imaging, Emergency Radiology, and Diagnostic Radiology
- Four Physician Assistants supporting Interventional Radiology
Compensation
- Base salary for 10,000 annual wRVUs; paid per wRVU above threshold
- Enhanced sign-on bonus for qualified candidates

Shift & Schedule
- Full Time employment
- Shift Options (all 8-hour, EST): Days: 7a-3p; On-site; 200 shifts/year; Weekend coverage 1:5 with residents
- Mids: 12p-8p; Remote or Hybrid; 200 shifts/year; Weekend coverage 1:5; shift premium offered
- Eves: 3p-11p; Remote or Hybrid; 1 week on / 1 week off; shift premium offered
- Nights: 11p-7a; Remote or Hybrid; 1 week on / 1 week off; shift premium offered
- All schedules posted 90 days in advance
Requirements
- MD, DO
- Board certified or board eligible in Radiology
- Subspecialty training across one or more of the following: Diagnostic Radiology, Emergency Radiology, Neuroradiology, Musculoskeletal, Body Imaging, Pediatric Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Interventional Radiology, or Breast and Women's Imaging
- Commitment to resident education, quality improvement, and a team-first approach to practice
