Location: Atascocita - 2310 1/2 Atascocita Rd. Humble, TX 77396 About Our Atascocita Location (Harris County): Gateway’s largest facility, Atascocita is a residential correctional center focused solely on substance use treatment for court-ordered clients. With 12 buildings and nearly 500 clients, the facility provides a structured, secure environment without armed guards. Staff work collaboratively in a team of 170, including counselors, probation officers, and support staff. The location is undergoing major renovations to become a state-of-the-art treatment center. We foster a supportive culture with team-building activities, recognition programs, and a strong mission-driven focus on recovery and rehabilitation. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 11:00AM - 7:30PM Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor responsibilities: * Completes comprehensive assessments of clients’ substance abuse history and treatment requirements, and develops individualized treatment plan.

• Provides individual and group counseling and may facilitate didactic groups.
• Documents treatment and discharge plans, and clients’ progress and responses

to treatment; and maintains related records and charts. * Performs case management and contributes to client care monitoring. Requirements:

• LCDC or LPC is required
• At least six months previous experience in substance abuse or mental health

counseling preferred. * Master's or Bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work or a related field required.

• Experience in a corrections environment preferred.
• Must be able to obtain clearance from Harris County.

Compensation (based on experience and credentials):

• The range is between $21.00 - $23.00/hr
• Gateway Foundation conducts annual reviews including merit increases
