Accounts Payable Clerk

SUMMARY

Regularly exercise independent judgment and control. Develops and implements procedures to assure the timely processing of Contractor billings and pay requests, LMCCI Fee and General conditions billing, and performs other tasks as assigned. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Generate contractor pay requests and forward to project coordinators;
• Coordinate the timely processing of pay requests as received from contractors;
• Generates pay request and LMCCI billings for fee and general conditions to ensure time and accurate payments;
• Assist with other accounting tasks as assigned;
• Communicates with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner;
• Uses Accu-build and other software applications including spreadsheets to assemble and/or format data reports;
• And such other duties and/or responsibilities as are assigned by LMCCI;

KNOWLEDGE , SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Advanced knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles;
• Advanced knowledge in the use financial software applications, databases, spreadsheets, and/or work processing;
• Strong organizational and time management skills;
• Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently with minimum guidance;
• Strong mathematical aptitude;
• Ability to multi-task and manage projects;
• Ability to provide excellent written and oral communication;
• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Three (3) years with construction industry accounting experience
