• Salary Range: $28.50 - $38.50

Shifts are scheduled for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, totaling three 12-hour shifts per week. There is no on-call requirement.

The role involves conducting high-quality diagnostic polysomnographic (PSG) assessments, including titration, multiple sleep latency tests (MSLT), and Maintenance of Wakefulness Tests (MWT). You will gather and provide precise data to physicians for diagnosing and treating patients with sleep and wake disorders. Additionally, you will educate patients on prescribed therapies and may follow up with them as needed. Responsibilities also include:

• Providing education to patients regarding sleep testing when necessary.
• Addressing technical issues as they arise.
• Conducting either Sleep Study Procedures or Neurological Testing for diverse patient populations.
• Understanding the testing equipment thoroughly, including its structure, function, and maintenance.
• Applying knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to the procedures performed.
• Monitoring and documenting patient information in medical records according to facility guidelines.
• Demonstrating familiarity with the standards and accreditation set by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM).
• Possessing a comprehensive understanding of diseases and conditions encountered in this field.
• Working effectively with all age groups and those with unique developmental needs.
• Performing additional department-specific tasks as required.
• Participating in scoring or tabulating studies based on facility and department needs.
• Supervising students and/or staff in providing patient care and treatment as part of their training when necessary.

• Graduation from an accredited program in Electroneurodiagnostic Technology, Respiratory Technology, or a related medical specialty is preferred.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in the field of Sleep Disorders is preferred.
• Knowledge of sleep disorders and electrical safety, along with proficiency in using computers for patient documentation and data collection.
• If a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), obtaining the RPSGT or Sleep Disorder Specialty (RRT-SDS) credential within two years of starting in the role is required.
• Must be enrolled in or have completed one of the following:
• A-STEP Online Self Study Modules, with non-registered technologists required to complete these within two years of enrollment.
• Training in polysomnography through a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) program with a polysomnography option.
• For those working in North Dakota (ND), licensure as an RRT or RPSGT is mandatory.
• Must obtain and maintain mandatory continuing education units (CEUs) annually to uphold licensure and/or registry.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 60 days of employment.
