Other services include an urgent care, clinics, imaging and physical therapy./ppGeneral Statement of Duties:/ppThe Registered Nurse PPOP PACU provides nursing care and service during the preoperative and postoperative periods, integrating and making nursing judgments pertaining to the patients condition on a routine and emergency basis. The position oversees the supervision of all non-licensed personnel, while also receiving direction from Physicians./ppEssential Duties:/polliMonitors and assesses patient condition and reports any unusual symptoms, occurrences or discrepancies to manager and appropriate Physicians./liliCompletes treatments and procedures as ordered and assigned by the Physician, consistent with patient complexity and commensurate with the skill, knowledge, and training of the individual./liliProvides care safely, with adequate quality, quantity, and timeliness and according to applicable standards./liliAdmits patients to all areas within pre and post-operative and post-anesthesia services, and receives and reviews pre post-operative report./liliSets-up, operates and monitors the use of various systems, equipment and instrumentation required for the care of patients./liliReviews and initiates Physicians orders, administers medication, parenteral fluids and treatment as needed./liliProvides instruction, information, and counseling to patients and their families as needed. Distributes educational material as appropriate./liliMaintains medication and nursing documentation within the patient record./liliDemonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age and development levels of patients served./li/olpRequirements:/pulliAssociates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred from a nationally accredited nursing program/lili2-4 years Registered Nurse experience in any of the following units required; PACU, ICU or ER. 4-6 years of experience preferred/liliCurrently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Indiana required/liliBLS, ACLS certification required; PALS preferred/li/ulpOrthoIndy is an Equal Opportunity Employer/p/div
