Experience a high level of autonomy as you assess and stabilize critically ill or injured patients, performing advanced procedures and ensuring their safe journey to specialized medical facilities. This fast-paced, rewarding role demands expert critical care knowledge, mastery of complex interventions, and exceptional communication—where every mission makes a difference.Your Impact:Provide advanced critical care to patients with life-threatening conditions during air medical transportAssess, stabilize, and manage trauma, cardiac, respiratory, and pediatric emergencies in flightPerform advanced procedures within paramedic scopeAdminister medications, IV fluids, and blood products per guidelines and established protocolsEnsure safety throughout all phases of transport in collaboration with pilot and flight nurseCollaborate closely with flight nurses, pilots, and other professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes during transportMaintains clear and continuous communication with receiving hospitals, pre-hospital care providers, and family members as necessaryParticipate in pre-flight safety checks, post flight debriefings and maintain equipment readinessDocument patient care accurately and support quality improvement initiativesMaintain critical care skills through ongoing trainingYour Qualifications:Current Paramedic license in MN, WI, with critical care endorsement required and preferred ND and MI licensuresBLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required; trauma certifications (TPATC) are encouragedFP-C will be required within 18 months of hire dateNRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification will be required after hire dateFEMA certification for ICS 100, 200A minimum of 3 years of recent (within the last 5 years) critical care of 911 EMS paramedic experience with a focus on high-acuity, critical patient carePrior critical care experience that involved a comprehensive understanding of advanced life support techniques, pharmacological therapies, invasive procedures, and emergency interventionsPrior exposure to high-acuity, multi-system trauma, including shock, severe head injuries, and complex cardiac emergencies, is essentialMust maintain a flight crew weight of 230 lbs or less, fully dressed in flight required gearValid driver's licenseAbility to maintain airport security access credentials (where applicable)Preferred Qualifications:Previous flight experience preferredExperience with adult and pediatric patient populations, including neonates, highly preferredWhat We Offer:Base Pay Rate: $34.15 - $46.72 per hour, based on experienceHealth, Dental, and Vision insurance coverage starting the first of the month following date of hireHealth Savings Account (HSA) with employer match401k with employer match fully vestedGenerous paid leave and paid time off to foster work/life balanceLife, disability, critical illness, and accident insuranceTuition/Training reimbursement programWhy Join Life Link III?We are dedicated to making a difference.
