GS-5: $ 40,736 to $ 52,957 GS-7: $ 50,460 to $ 65,599 Duties You will research regulations, laws, and policies to provide basic answers for employee benefits. You will analyze and evaluate information for higher level Specialists for use in claims development and adjudication. You will communicate factual and procedural information clearly and orally to higher level Specialists. You will draft written responses to requests for information. Qualifications GS-07 To qualify for a GS-07, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience performing administrative or human resources-related work, such as assisting with personnel actions, staffing activities, document preparation, records management, customer service, maintaining data, or performing similar support functions. GS-05 To qualify for a GS-05, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Sound judgment, integrity, and attention to detail. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to learn new systems, technology, policies, and procedures. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Initiative, adaptability, and a commitment to public service. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: GS-07 Successful completion of 1 full year of graduate level education OR Superior academic achievement OR A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
