Head of Product / Product Strategic Architect

AlphaLife Sciences is seeking a Head of Product Management to define, build, and scale a world‑class product organization developing AI‑powered clinical applications that leverage generative AI and large language models (LLMs). You will set the strategic direction for our product portfolio, lead and mentor a team of product managers, and drive the execution of practical, application‑layer AI solutions that streamline pharmaceutical workflows and extract insights to drive innovation in life sciences. You will collaborate with executive leadership, industry and technology experts, and engage with senior pharmaceutical stakeholders to bring innovative AI solutions to the market. What You’ll Do Strategic Leadership & Team Building Define and own product vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI‑powered clinical documentation products aligned with company goals Build, lead, and scale a high‑performing product management team; establish hiring, onboarding, and career development frameworks Define product management best practices and decision‑making frameworks across the organization Act as a strategic partner to the CEO on product direction, validating assumptions through customer and market insights Market & Customer Intelligence Develop deep expertise in clinical, regulatory, and medical writing workflows (e.g., Protocols, CSRs, IND/NDA modules) Build relationships with senior leaders in pharmaceutical companies, CROs, regulatory affairs, and medical writing teams Lead market research and customer discovery to identify unmet needs and product opportunities Product Execution Own end‑to‑end product lifecycle from concept to delivery across multiple product lines Define prioritization frameworks balancing customer needs, technical feasibility, regulatory requirements, and business impact Write clear product requirements for AI‑powered clinical documentation solutions informed by FDA/ICH standards Partner closely with Engineering, QA, and cross‑functional teams to ensure high‑quality execution AI & Innovation Define strategy for generative AI/LLM applications in medical writing and clinical documentation Evaluate build vs buy vs partner decisions for AI capabilities Define success metrics for AI features, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and user value Operational Excellence Drive release planning, sprint coordination, and execution quality across product teams Establish and report product KPIs to executive leadership Represent product function in executive and strategic planning discussions Requirements 8+ years in product management in B2B SaaS or AI‑driven products, including 3+ years in leadership roles Proven experience building and scaling product teams in high‑growth environments Strong understanding of AI/LLM‑powered product development and application in real‑world workflows Familiarity with pharmaceutical, clinical, or regulated industry workflows (or ability to ramp quickly) Ability to define product strategy and deliver measurable business impact in complex environments Excellent communication skills for executive‑level stakeholders; strong ability to operate in ambiguity Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred Nice to Have Experience in clinical operations, medical writing, or regulatory affairs within life sciences Existing relationships with senior leaders at pharmaceutical companies What We Offer Opportunity to define and execute product strategy for breakthrough AI technology that accelerates patient access to treatments Leadership role with direct impact on company direction, team culture, and market positioning Collaborative environment with leading experts in AI and life sciences Professional development opportunities and mentorship; executive coaching and leadership training Competitive compensation and benefits package, including equity participation commensurate with leadership responsibility Comprehensive health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance coverage Flexible work arrangements AlphaLife Sciences is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate based on protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
