The A List Staffing is partnering with a well-established nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and celebrating Texas history for future generations. This organization offers a unique opportunity to combine accounting expertise with meaningful work that supports education, historical preservation, genealogy, and community engagement.
Position OverviewWe are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support the daily financial operations of a busy nonprofit organization. The ideal candidate will be comfortable balancing accounting responsibilities with administrative support duties while interacting professionally with board members, volunteers, staff, and members of the organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily bookkeeping and accounting activities
- Process journal entries and maintain accurate financial records
- Utilize QuickBooks for financial transactions and reporting
- Process payments and transactions through Square
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Reconcile accounts and maintain financial documentation
- Support dues collection and event-related financial processing during peak seasons
- Interact professionally with board members during meetings and organizational activities Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent QuickBooks experience required
- Experience using Square payment processing system preferred
- Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience required (min. 2 years)
