Flight Safety Engineer Stf (Level 4)

Description Selected candidate will join the Flight Safety team as a Flight Safety Engineer supporting the F-22 program at the Combined Test Force facility at Edwards AFB. The role is responsible for working under the F-22 Flight Safety Program Lead in all flight safety activities and for supporting ground safety as needed at Edwards AFB and Fort Worth. The engineer provides safety oversight of daily flight test operations, performs test hazard analyses, proposes risk mitigation measures, and coordinates and conducts Test Safety Review Boards in accordance with company directives. The position also conducts and documents periodic flight safety surveys, aligns System Safety, Flight Test Safety, Flight Safety, and Chief Engineer inputs to ensure proper implementation of Integrated Test Facility safety procedures and Aircraft Operating Limits, and assists with JSF flight test activities when required. Responsibilities Conduct and direct flight test safety programs. Provide safety oversight of daily flight test operations. Perform test hazard analyses and propose risk mitigation measures. Coordinate System Safety, Flight Test Safety, Flight Safety, and Chief Engineer inputs to ensure proper implementation and documentation of Integrated Test Facility safety procedures and Aircraft Operating Limits. Assist with JSF flight test activities at Fort Worth and Edwards AFB when necessary. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. Experience with Flight Test Safety. Aviation Safety training. Active Secret clearance required. Desired Skills Fighter/Attack aircraft aviation experience. System Safety hazard analysis experience. Flight Test / Test Safety experience. Mishap investigation experience. Security Clearance Statement This position requires a government security clearance and the applicant must be a US Citizen. Clearance level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years.
