A private couple in Laguna Beach is seeking a calm, highly organized, and deeply reliable Personal Assistant to provide long-term support with household operations, personal logistics, scheduling, vendor coordination, family care coordination, and dog care. This is a high-trust role within a quiet, private, and intentionally paced household. The ideal candidate will bring excellent judgment, discretion, emotional steadiness, and the ability to anticipate needs while maintaining a calm, professional presence. Important Requirements Candidates must be true dog lovers and comfortable supporting the care of a beloved English bulldog. This includes assisting with daily routines, veterinary appointments, supplies, coverage planning, and coordinating overnight care during travel or extended absences. Relocation to Orange County after the 90-day trial period is required. Candidates who are not able or willing to relocate should not apply. Living outside of close proximity to Laguna Beach, such as Los Angeles or another area requiring a long-term commute, is not an option for this role. A 90-day introductory period applies. Vacation or elective time off is not available during this period, though sick leave may be used if needed. Position Overview This role supports the smooth, steady flow of daily life for a grounded and private couple with full professional and philanthropic lives. One principal works primarily from home and values a quiet, composed, and respectful environment. The Personal Assistant should be comfortable working with discretion, maintaining calm communication, and supporting the household without creating unnecessary urgency or noise. Workspace may at times be based from a separate guest house on the property, allowing for both proximity and privacy. Key Responsibilities Household Operations Oversee the organized and consistent functioning of the residence Maintain daily order, resets, and thoughtful preparation of shared spaces Anticipate needs and resolve issues calmly and efficiently Coordinate with a weekly household assistant who supports dog care, overnight coverage during travel, and general household tasks Calendar, Scheduling, and Logistics Manage the principal’s calendar across personal, medical, household, and select professional commitments Coordinate appointments, service windows, and daily timing Adjust plans as needs evolve and communicate conflicts early Track reminders, follow-ups, and action items Vendor and Household Support Coordination Coordinate trusted vendors, including housekeeping, maintenance, pool, landscaping, and other household services Maintain clear communication, quality standards, and reliable follow-through Support a stable, low-traffic household environment Dog Care Support Assist with the daily care and wellbeing of the family’s English bulldog Support routines, veterinary appointments, supplies, and care planning Coordinate overnight dog care during travel and extended absences Ensure continuity and comfort for the dog when the principals are away Family Care Coordination Assist with coordination related to a nearby family member’s care team and appointments Support scheduling, communication, and continuity with sensitivity and professionalism Travel and Household Continuity Serve as the steady local point of contact when the principals travel, typically once per month for a long weekend or up to one week Carry a dedicated household phone during working hours for urgent matters Help ensure the home, dog care, vendors, and family-related logistics remain organized in the principals’ absence Personal Assistant Support Provide thoughtful administrative and personal support Manage reminders, follow-ups, light administrative tasks, and organizational systems Reduce mental load through proactive, discreet, and consistent support Maintain absolute confidentiality in all household and personal matters Professional Profile The ideal candidate is a seasoned, mid-career professional seeking a long-term role within one private household.
