Lab Support Clerk
Our client, a Medical Research company, is looking for a Lab Support Clerk for their Las Vegas, NV location. Responsibilities include maintaining an organized filing system for all pathology slides, pulling slides as requested by physician for deepers, filing physicians request forms for deepers/special stains/problem resolutions, sending duplicate slides to referring physicians, posting all outgoing mail and maintaining postage machine, scanning requisitions into On base and confirming all are complete, assisting other departments with clerical functions when available, maintaining QA reviews of outside path reports and files with corresponding requisition, returning slides to file when received back from outside facilities and documenting the return in the computer system, maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance, and performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Manager, Director or Physicians. Cytology slide distribution and workflow assistance are also part of the role.
Requirements include a high school graduate, one year of clerical experience, and the ability to communicate effectively with all members of the health care field.
