Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Location

Madison, WI | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days & Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30 / 19:00–7:30) | Every other weekend rotation and holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry inpatient setting
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, including identification of lethal arrhythmias
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as part of standard scheduling

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) ONLY
• Minimum of two years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last three years in the applicable specialty
• EPIC experience required
• Must pass a Telemetry exam prior to start (Adult and Pediatric components; passing score of 80% or higher with strict criteria for lethal rhythm identification; maximum of three attempts allowed)
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-acuity or teaching hospital environment
• Familiarity with cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
• Experience working in a Magnet-designated facility
