Step into a rewarding special education role working with high school students in a welcoming academic setting near Strongsville, OH. This contract opportunity begins August 3rd, 2026, and extends through June 4th, 2027, offering consistent, full-time hours (40 hours per week, Monday through Friday) and a manageable caseload of up to 24 students. Qualifications & Credentials:
- Active Ohio Department of Education K–12 Intervention Specialist license (required)
- Valid background check and fingerprint clearance
- Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher at the secondary level preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities
- Commitment to individualized instruction and student advocacy
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for high school students
- Partner with general education staff, families, and support personnel to drive student success
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress
- Use evidence-based strategies to address diverse academic and behavioral needs
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages self-confidence and growth
