About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and reliable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. This full-time, hybrid role reports to the Assistant Controller and is essential to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. The AP Specialist ensures invoices are processed efficiently, payments are completed on time, and accounting records remain compliant and organized. This position requires strong attention to detail, clear communication skills, and a commitment to safeguarding the companys assets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing and verifying invoices with appropriate approvals
- Preparing and issuing accurate, timely payments
- Completing required tax and jurisdictional reporting for assigned entities
- Maintaining supporting schedules and compliance records
- Compiling financial data and supporting ad hoc projects
- Collaborating with team members and vendors to resolve inquiries
- Recommending process improvements to enhance efficiency
Qualifications and experience
Required :
- Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Aptitude for accounting systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt
Preferred :
- Associate or bachelors degree in accounting or related field
- Experience with cloud-based accounting software
Compensation
Anticipated salary range: $62,000-$70,000 annually, paid biweekly. (The actual salary offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined by the Company, which may include experience, qualifications, skill set, and availability of qualified candidates.)
All regular full-time employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, as well as wellness benefits and a company-matched retirement savings plan. Additional benefits include sixteen paid holidays, flexible time off, new parent leave, staff education opportunities, and tuition reimbursement. Each benefit is subject to eligibility requirements as specified in plan documents, and the Company reserves the right to modify the benefits it offers from time to time. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement with up to two days of remote work per week.
