Together, we're improving health and improving lives.LabCorp is seeking a Specimen Processor to join our team in Irving, TX (75061).Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 5:00pm; Friday 8:30am - 1:30pm (additional hours / rotating Saturdays may be requested as needed)Job Responsibilities:Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testingUnpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas.Accurately identify and label specimensPack and ship specimens to proper testing facilitiesMeet department activity and production goalsProperly prepare and store excess specimen samplesData entry of patient information in an accurate and timely mannerResolve and document any problem specimensPerform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups (as needed)Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentPreferred Qualifications:1 year or more lab specimen processing / accessioning experience6 months or more phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environmentCurrent or prior LabCorp experienceAdditional Job Standards:Comfortable accurately identifying and handling biological specimensStrong data entry and organizational skillsHigh level of attention to detailAble to pass a standardized color blind testAble to work in a fast paced / high volume work environmentExceptional customer serviceStrong communication skills; both written and verbalAbility to work independently or in a team environmentComfortable working under minimal supervisionFlexibility to work overtime as neededThis role will work in our client's office setting to perform clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, production output environment according to established standard operating procedures, and be the face of the company.
